On the day of Margaret Thatcher’s tenth anniversary in power, her former landlord has revealed that the Prime Minister was once stopped for speeding, and that she did not like washing up. Margaret Roberts spent eighteen months living with Ray Woolcott, when she stood for Dartford in 1950 and 1951. She met her future husband, Denis Thatcher, at her adoption meeting in the electricity showrooms in Erith in 1949. Woolcott says he offered her a lift to London. Female interviewer not identified.
