- Description
- Two light aircraft, a Tiger Moth and a Piper Cherokee, have collided 500 feet above the motorway near Reigate. The planes caught fire and crashed onto a football pitch. Timothy Scott saw the plane land within yards of his school friends. Tony Walsh, the school secretary, heard the final moments of the two aircraft. The man leading the police investigation, Superintendent Pat Crossan, says the tragedy could have been much worse. David Piper reports.
