US President George H. W. Bush confirms allied forces will impose a no-fly zone over southern Iraq to reduce repression by Saddam Hussein of the people in the area. Mr Bush says the allies continue to support Iraq’s territorial unity but will act decisively if the government of Iraq continues to violate UN resolutions through various human rights violations.
