Description
Peter Deeley reports on the decision by Scotland Yard to give 100 buildings in and around London with Jewish or Israeli connections 24 hour armed police protection. The move comes in the wake of two car bomb attacks - in the Israeli Embassy in Kensington and at the North London offices of the Joint Israel Appeal. Includes interviews with Metropolitan Police Commissioner Paul Condon (who says he is reacting to what has become the very serious risk of Middle Eastern suicide bombers); Assistant Commissioner David Veness; Gary Bergman, chief warden of the Security Committee of the North London Synagogue.
