Description

British journalist John Patrick McCarthy was kidnapped by Islamic Jihad terrorists in Lebanon in April 1986. Here, his mother, father and friends deliver a series of messages to John, wishing him good health and expressing sorrow for his absence. They also appeal to the kidnappers for his safe release, on the third anniversary of his abduction. (Messages originally broadcast on television, or recorded with that intention?)
