- Paul Woodley reports on a speech by US President, George H. W. Bush during a Presidential campaign appearance in Colorado. The speech contained a message aimed at Serbia stating that the United States is to extend full diplomatic recognition to the former Yugoslav republics of Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Bush has also called on the United Nations to authorise use of military force if it is needed, to protect humanitarian aid, flights, and deliveries to Sarajevo. Includes excerpts from speech by Bush and by White House spokesman, Marlin Fitzwater on UN inspectors being denied access to military sites in Iraq.
