- Description
- Linda Duffin reports on a protest at BBC Television Centre after four women breached security and disrupted the Six O’Clock News. The protest was against the implementation of the UK Government’s controversial Clause 28 of the Local Government Act, which prevents local councils promoting homosexuality. One woman padlocked herself to a camera and another to newsreader Sue Lawley’s desk. BBC officials are investigating how the women were allowed into the studio. Includes recording from broadcast and interviews with Sue Lawley and fellow newsreader, Nicholas Witchell and with one of the protesters.
