- Paul Woodley reports on Commander of Operation Desert Storm General Norman Schwarzkopf’s claims the Gulf War ended too soon, US President George Bush and Defence Secretary Dick Cheney have denied them. Schwarzkopf speaks to David Frost (not heard) on PBS television on the end of the war including Iraqi cotinuing use of helicopter gunships against rebels. Also reports on the future for Iraq and President Saddam Hussein’s leadership, with the UN due to vote on a permanent ceasefire deal, and rebels fighting.
