- Description
- Stephanie West interviews the former editor of the Catholic Herald newspaper, Peter Stanford, following news that Pope John Paul II (Karol Jozef Wojtyla) has been taken to hospital with a stomach infection and may need to have an operation. He is being treated by the same doctor who saved his life in 1981 when he was shot in the stomach by a would-be assassin. Stanford says the Pontiff has been looking tired recently and the news is not a surprise.
