Peter Russell reports on a decision in the House of Lords to reject an attempt to restore the homosexual age of consent to 21 confirming the Commons’ vote in 02/94 to lower the age of consent to 18. Peers also voted by a margin of 174 to reject equalising the age of consent for homosexual and heterosexual sex at 16.
