Description
A public appeal for funding for veterans of the Battle of Britain has been launched. Lord (Anthony) Barber and Wing Commander Pat Hancock, who both fought in the Battle, recall the tension of waiting before a battle started, how quickly it would occur, and the after-shock often experienced after a dogfight. The appeal was aimed at big-city firms, and the speakers stress that just because the War was a long time ago, it has become no less important.
