Niki Cardwell reports on the elderly protesters outside Edgware Hospital which is threatened with closure under Health Secretary Virginia Bottomley’s plans, they say it is difficult to travel to another hospital. Alan Sloane, a founder member of Hands Off Our Hospital describes the protests and what they hope to achieve. Labour MP John Austin Walker of the Commons Health Select Committee was at the hospital on a fact finding mission with Chairperson Marion Roe MP, they speak to press. Myra Reynolds of the protest group describes her part in the meeting with MPs.
