- The BBC says Broadcasting House in Portland Place, where five people contracted the killer legionnaires’ disease, is now safe. A further fifteen suspected cases are being investigated. Managing Director of BBC Radio, David Hatch says checks are still being made on the cooling towers, but the building is almost 100 per cent safe. Female interviewer not identified.
