Description
Home Secretary David Waddington has added his voice to the chorus of senior Conservative Party figures who are saying that Margaret Thatcher will remain party leader up until the next election. He was speaking during a tour of Wormwood Scrubs prison in west London - where he was asked about his reaction to the Granada Television documentary on the Birmingham Six. He also told Simon Bowden about Government plans for new curfew orders as an alternative to prison for less serious offenders.
