Description

Press statement by chairman of the Press Complaints Commission, Lord McGregor (Oliver Ross McGregor), who says lurid coverage of the state of the marriage of the Prince and Princess of Wales (Prince Charles and Princess Diana) is a return by some newspapers to the worst excesses of the 1980s and the newspapers’ code of practice has been breached. It was later found many of the stories had been leaked by the royals themselves.
