- On the 76th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, relics went under the hammer at a special auction yesterday. There were 180 lots but most excitement was caused by a watercolour picture of the liner: Fitting Out the Titanic, Belfast, by Charles Dixon. Reporter Eve Conway was at the auction (bidding heard); speaks to John Moore of the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum; Titanic survivor Bertram Dean from Southampton; Herald of Free Enterprise survivor Stephen Holmwood; Bob Prior of the British Titanic Society.
