- David Addis reports on US President Bill Clinton arriving in Britain, his first visit as President, for 50th anniversary D-Day commemorations, and talks with Prime Minister John Major on Korea, Bosnia and Rwanda. Clinton and Major both gives speeches paying tribute to the soldiers who won the Second World War, and on the bond between Britain and the USA. Jean Chretien, Canadian Prime Minister also pays tribute to Canadian troops who played their part in the landings, as he took part in events at Gosport. Also Clinton on returning to the UK (he had studied at Oxford).
