Ahead of the UN Earth Summit opening in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil tomorrow Clayre Gribben visits the San Martino Children’s Project. Death squads kill the street children of Rio to clean up the streets and the project - run with the Jubilee project in Britain – takes them in. UK Prime Minister John Major is to visit and Roberto Santals(?) who runs the project says he hopes to use the opportunity to put pressure on the Brazilian government. Includes vox pop with the children. For Billboard programme.
