A gunman has managed to shoot his former fiance to death as she lay in a hospital bed. David Jenkins has been jailed for life after Aylesbury Crown Court heard how he stalked Carolyn Myland to the hospital, just half an hour after attacking her with a knife at her Stevenage home. Carolyn’s mother, Mavis, who was with her daughter when she was shot, tells Andy Diprose that the memory will haunt her for the rest of her life. Her father, Ted, describes how, whilst at home, he overheard a police radio report that a gunman was in the hospital. For Update programme.
