Simon Marks reports on the prospect of US military intervention in Haiti after new UN sanctions aimed at forcing the Haitian military from power and restoring ousted President Jean-Bertrand Aristide and democracy in Haiti were broken hours after they came into force yesterday. Includes US Vice- President Al Gore arguing the new sanctions should be given more time, and although diplomatic solutions are being explored nothing is being ruled out.
