Photographer Alan Richards, author of Einstein As I Knew Him (published on the 100th anniversary of Einstein’s birth), describes meeting the scientist Albert Einstein in 1944 and taking his picture during the last twelve years of his life. Richards describes helping Einstein out of a storm sewer and says that Einstein did not like a lot of publicity. Telephone interview. Male interviewer not identified.
