Actor and director Danny DeVito is interviewed about directing his new film, The War of the Roses, how he thinks it is actually a pro-marriage movie, and how he hopes it will help end the materialism of the 1980s. He goes on to speak about being a director, his last film, Throw Momma From the Train, casting himself in the films he directs, resisting studio pressure about changing the ending of Roses, and playing with the conventions of genre.
