- Description
- Historian Count Nikolai Tolstoy is interviewed about appealing a court ruling against him for libel (brought by Lord Aldington). He feels his trial was wrongly conducted, and he has been pressured to abandon his appeal, including being forced to put up £188,000 in security costs to prevent it. Tolstoy says he will not abandon his claim until forced to, sustained by the knowledge of the many people who lost their families during the British occupation of Austria during World War II. Male interviewer not identified.
