Elena Curti reports on Soviets’ views on Europe’s nuclear weapons plans. Soviet President, Mikhail Gorbachev talks (through an interpreter) about how they oppose the modernisation of nuclear weapons, how the world must be united on nuclear weapons, and Soviet plans to eliminate nuclear weapons. UK Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher then talks about how she favours arms reductions, but only when we feel secure and no longer under threat.
