The EU is expected to announce today whether British beef will be banned right across Europe in the wake of the BSE scare. The Government is also considering slaughtering four million cows to eradicate any risk. Leading microbiologist Professor Richard Lacey says we must acknowledge that there is a problem and take firm action.
