The IRA is believed to be behind a mortar bomb attack on 10 Downing Street in an attempt to kill Prime Minister John Major. With on-location reports from Whitehall and Westminster are George Matheson and Paul Rowley respectively. With statements from Scotland Yard spokesman Stuart Goodwin, Education Secretary Kenneth Clarke and an eyewitness account from local worker Claire Morrissey(?).
