Description

US Defense Secretary Dick Cheney and Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, General Colin Powell will advise US President George Bush on military action after a trip to Iraq but an unidentified Pentagon spokesman says that this does not mean a land battle is imminent. Syrian troops have repelled a cross-border raid by Iraq into Saudi Arabia just one week after Iraqi troops were ousted from the Saudi Arabian town of Khafji. Lieutenant General Tom Kelly says the morale of Iraqi troops is at an all-time low. Baghdad’s Mother of Battles Radio has been broadcasting cryptic messages which may be addressed to terrorists following an attack on an American bank in Greece. Female reporter not identified.
