Description

Security was tight in the quiet town of Gorey in County Wexford for the funeral of the Aldwych bus bomber Edward O’Brien. The 21-year-old IRA member died when the bomb he was carrying exploded accidentally. Valerie Cox reports back to the studio on the funeral. A few well known republicans attended the funeral to the anger of the family. Locals have been shocked at the actions of their former resident. Many letters of support for the family have been received from across the UK.
