Description

Report on press conference by Archbishop Festo Olang on persecution of Ugandan Christians, increasing numbers of refugees and killing of Acholi and Langi people by President Idi Amin following the death of of Archbishop Luwum along with Ugandan Cabinet ministers, Arphaxed Charles Oboth-Afumbi and Erenayo Wilson Oreyema in a road accident on 17 Feb 1977. The three men were trying to escape arrest for their alleged part in a plot to overthrow President Idi Amin. The reporter is unidentified.
