- Description
- Lord Roy Jenkins, the Liberal Democrats’ leader in the Lords, has rejected the government’s offer of a lunchtime look at the Scott Report into sales of arms to Iraq, ahead of its release at 3.30 pm. Robin Cook and other opposition Foreign Affairs spokesmen will be speed-reading the report. In a closed room within the DTI they will have three hours to digest a five-volume report that’s taken three years to compile. Robin Cook acknowledges that this will not be an easy task.
