Singer and actor Madonna has been defending her casting as Eva Peron in a new film version of Evita. Speaking in Buenos Aires, she admitted she had been hurt by the criticism but asked to be given a chance, and expressed her admiration for Eva Peron. She admitted having been in some bad movies, but thinks Evita will provide her acting and singing talents with the perfect vehicle.
