- Description
- Report on a meeting of Westland shareholders, held at the Albert Hall. Chairman, Sir John Cuckney thinks that the European consortium must withdraw to help pave the way forward. The European consortium did better than expected, with 34.6 percent of shareholders rejecting the Sikorsky package. According to spokesman David Horn, a graceful exit is far from being a foregone conclusion. Sikorsky’s chief executive, Bill Paul, has not ruled out putting more money into Westland, although he does not elaborate. Female and male reporters not identified.
