Description

Tim Locke reports on the afternoon’s events in the Gulf war. US military spokesman, Colonel Mike Nichols(?), describes skirmishes between Iraqi and American forces. Following Iraqi missile attacks on Israel, Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Arens says Israel will respond. In the Commons, British Foreign Office minister Douglas Hogg urges Israel to show restraint. At a briefing, Major-General Alex Harley says the Iraqi war machine is in ruins.
