The Government is trying to play down the London-Tilbury-Southend rail sell-off which had to be abandoned over allegations of ticket fraud. Deputy Prime Minister Michael Heseltine has praised the auditing mechanisms that detected financial irregularities, but here RMT leader Jimmy Knapp is unconvinced by the Government’s stance.
