A World War Two bomb in a boating lake at South Norwood was made safe by an army disposal team shortly after ten o’clock yesterday morning. It took the men of 33 Engineering Regiment from Walden Essex, almost twelve hours to blow the casing apart and burn the explosives. Chief correspondent, Paul Maurice spoke to Major Nick Clark.
