Description
Simon Israel interviews David Bullard after a High Court ruling which said UK councils have acted illegally in thousands of cases where people have been taken to court for not paying their poll tax. Three High Court judges ruled today that Coventry City Council had used unlawful hearsay evidence by presenting a computer print-out as evidence in a court case. The print-out was used to show that David Bullard and his wife, Eleanor Bullard were registered as tax-payers but had failed to pay their community charge. The High Court says print-outs are inadmissible evidence.
