- Prime Minister John Major has accused Saddam Hussein of being a man without morals who deserves whatever happens to him, although he (Major) does not confirm or deny that Hussein is a target of Allied forces. Defence Secretary, Tom King informs the House of Commons that an RAF Tornado aircraft has gone missing over Iraq, bringing the total up to four. Four Iraqi scud missiles have exploded over Saudi Arabia. Iraqis have successfully targeted Kuwaiti oilfields. Colonel Ahmed al-Rubayan of the Joint Arab Forces comments. Iraq has threatened to send out suicide bombers. Tim Locke reports.
