- Prisoners of war including British airmen have been put on Iraqi television, forced to make a plea for peace. British Flight Lieutenant Adrian John Nichol(?) and US Lieutenant Jeffrey Norton Zaun were among the POWs forced to make statements. Rosemary Hunter, sister-in-law of captured pilot Guy Hunter, comments on how the statements appeared forced. David Myatt of the Red Cross comments on prisoners’ rights. Billy Hunter expresses relief that his brother is alive at all. Iraqi Ambassador to the UN, Azmi Shafiq Al-Salihi claims the POWs are being treated well. Mark Phillips reports.
