- Description
- Sir Lou Sherman, Chairman of the London Boroughs Association, looks back over the last 25 years of his career. He says his biggest achievement, as Mayor of the London borough of Hackney, was to persuade people to regenerate the 10,000 acres of derelict land that is now the Lee Valley Regional Park. He found that people in London paid 60-70 percent extra in rates and fought for their rights as ratepayers. Male interviewer not identified.
