Description

Bob Holness interviews Labour MP Marcus Lipton, who is retiring, on the quality of people going into Parliament in recent times, if the role of MPs has changed over the last thirty-three years and what he sees as his achievements. He also comments on his (at the time) controversial Parliamentary statement in 1955 where he accused diplomat Kim Philby of being a Soviet spy. (Lipton died a month after this interview took place).
