Description
Enoch Powell, Ulster Unionist MP for South Down, denies seeing any violence on a recent Loyalist march. On being asked whether he can alter Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s course, he replies that she will listen to facts. Conservative MP Ian Gow then shares his view that Thatcher’s judgement was mistaken and/or she was wrongly advised on likely reaction in the Province to the (Anglo-Irish?) agreement; Gow believes that the results of the forthcoming by-elections will support this. Male interviewer not identified.
