Tanya Hines reports on the incidence of children born without hands in coastal areas of Britain and talks to mother of such a child, Jeanette Swinbourne(?). Peter Mandelson MP says this suggests some form of marine pollution. Dr Alastair Hay, chemical expert at Leeds University, says if chemicals are the cause they would be accumulated through the food chain. Professor John Burn from the Northern Genetics Service plays down the issue.
