Description

Prime Minister John Major gives an impromptu press conference outside Number 10 Downing Street about the Iraqi missile attacks on Israel. He says the attacks are an act of terror and he has asked Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir not to retaliate. He has spoken to Iraqi ambassador Dr Azmi Shafiq Al-Salihi about the treatment of prisoners of war and to British General Sir Peter de la Billiere about the morale of British troops.
