A police officer who was in charge of a football match between Nottingham Forest and QPR has received complaints from the public about television images which showed Brian Clough striking fans during a pitch invasion. Chief Superintendent Mike Holdford says the evidence is insufficient to make an arrest. Football hooliganism researcher John Williams says Brian Clough’s behaviour is extremely disappointing.
