52,000 people have been waiting for more than a year for hospital treatment, and the Government is to spend an extra 6 million pounds to reduce waiting lists. Senior managers of the 22 districts with the longest queues will be at a seminar today, and Health Minister David Mellor says teams of troubleshooters will be sent to each of the worst offenders to bring the waiting list down inside a year.
