Andrew Manderstam reports on US President Ronald Reagan’s announcement that he will be seeking a second term in the White House. Reagan was asked about the circumstances of his decision to stand in the presidential elections. He said he had no misgivings and the people decide who should stand or not. First Lady, Nancy Reagan does not oppose her husband running. He discusses the withdrawal of troops from Lebanon. Reagan’s campaign for re-election is well under way; after this interview (for the American Broadcasting Company) he left for Chicago.
