- Description
- William Roncon reports that thousands of commuters are facing another nightmare journey home, after South Eastern train drivers refused to work on network trains. The move follows the discovery by engineers of safety faults on connecting doors inside the carriages. ASLEF has advised its members not to drive the trains until the fault is rectified. South Eastern managing director Richard Fearn is adamant passenger and staff safety isn’t at risk. That seems to cut little ice with ASLEF general secretary Lew Adams.
