After the tearing down of the Berlin Wall, UK Foreign Secretary, Douglas Hurd has arrived in East Germany to talk through the problems posed by the new situation. He says Britain is looking forward to the election in May and will fund some projects to help East Germany develop economically, although there are conditions attached. Catherine Field reports from Berlin.
