- Description
- Labour leader Neil Kinnock will be launching a national membership drive this morning in an effort to push the party strength above one million. Computers have been installed at Labour headquarters in Walworth road with the eventual aim of handling all membership applications and renewals throughout the country. Party membership has been in the doldrums in recent years and, it is thought, now stands at less than three hundred thousand. Kinnock also gives his views on Government proposals for identity cards for footbal fans. Male reporter not identified.
