Just a week after the Great Ormond Street appeal reached its 42 million-pound target, the world famous hospital has been told that its day care unit treating sexually abused children is to be closed in a new row over funding. General Manager, Sir Anthony Tippet says the closure will be a huge loss, and sexually abused children will suffer. Camden Council’s Social Services Chairman, Richard Sumray urges the Government to come up with more funding. Mark Percy reports.
